【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiestheShortMessageService(SMS).SMSenablesausertosendandreceiveShortMessages(SMs)toandfromanotheruser.ThisserviceisbasedonGSM03.40.TheServiceCentrefunctionalitydescribedinthisInternationalStandardisequaltothefunctionalityofaServiceCentreinGSM03.40.Thus,forinteroperabilitywithaGSMnetwork,itisonlynecessarytoimplementaQSIGinterface.NOTE1-Theinterworkingwithotherairinterfacesisnotprecluded,butisoutsidethescopeofthisInternationalStandard.NOTE2-TheShortMessageServiceisaspecialkindofbasicservicebutisdescribedinthisdocumentinthestyleofasupplementaryservice.Supplementaryservicespecificationsareproducedinthreestages,accordingtothemethoddescribedinETS300387.ThisInternationalStandardcontainsthestage1andstage2specificationsofSMS.Thestage1specification(clause6)specifiestheserviceasseenbyusersofPISNs.Thestage2specification(clause7)identifiesthefunctionalentitiesinvolvedintheserviceandtheinformationflowsbetweenthem.
