【摘要】:Thistestmethodshouldbeusedtodetermineifafungalcontrolagentiseffectivetopreservepigmentsuspensions,dyesolutions,pulpslurries,starchsolutions,polymers,sizingagents,latexemulsions,andotherspecificaqueous-basedmaterialsusedinthepaperindustry.Separateevaluationsshouldbemadeonarepresentativetypeforeachspecificclassofproducttobepreserved.Note18212;ControlofbacterialspoilageofsimilarproductscanbeevaluatedbyTestMethodE723.Note28212;SlimicidesforcontroloffungalorbacterialslimecanbeevaluatedbyTestMethodE1839.1.1Thislaboratorytestmethodisusedtodeterminetheefficacyofafungalcontrolagenttopreventspoilageofin-processaqueous-basedproductsusedinthepaperindustry.1.2Forinformationonbacterialcontrolagents,seeTestMethodE723.1.3Itistheresponsibilityoftheinvestigatortodeterminewhethergoodlaboratorypractices(GLP)arerequiredandtofollowthemwhenappropriate(see40CFR160).1.4Aknowledgeofmicrobiologicaltechniquesisrequiredfortheseprocedures.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.6Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
