When used in conjunction with SD-19, "Life Cycle Cost Savings Through Parts Management" will provide further guidance for persons involved in parts management, and for defining parts management needs in contracts, setting up a parts management process for prime contractors, suppliers and subcontractors, and offering an efficient means of providing a manageable part selection process for anyone involved with standard parts.
